The first Extremely Miscbehaving event one year ago @ Virgin Oil was a blast. It attracted nearly 1000 people just a couple of days before Christmas with Redanka and Solarstone as headliners. The main idea behind Miscbehaving events is that one of Misc. Management artists invites 1-3 foreign or domestic & fresh or oldskool talents and builds the lineup to represent his idea of quality electronic music.
On 24.10. we’ll see another round of Miscbehaving madness as DJ Orkidea invites legendary Renaissance resident Ian Ossia and one of the hottest trance names currently – Andy Moor – to headline a Miscbehaving night at Helsinki Club. The oldskool trance/prog fellow DJ Coma will be taking care of the warm-up.
The night continues at Playground at 05:00 as an official afterparty. I’ve invited some of the most interesting current domestic names to share the early underground morning hours with me: First of all DJ Casper, who has convinced me lately with his superb techno sets. He’s a guy living the music 100% and is one of the true rising stars currently. He’s not only a guy for dark underground venues but has caught my attention by playing really rocking groovy summery sets, too.
Then, my good ol’ friend DJ Flight. We’ve shared the DJ booths and organized club events together more than a dozen times last year and I greatly admire his uncompromised professional attitude. Flight is not only a great person, but also easily one of the top house jocks in Finland at the moment. Easy choice of picking him in.
And lastly, DJ Genki, an oldskool and multi-genre-talent jock – breaks-psy-dnb-techhouse-techno-younameit! He has an ear for killer tracks whatever style he plays, but his techno sets have been the ones totally ripping it. A perfect choice for ending the night, no matter how late it gets… :)

Keramick & Lobo have just released their new album “The Braille” on Exogenic Records and it has gotten quite good reviews everywhere. I got a possibility to pre-listen the album and it sounds really, really awesome. I already hyped on Twitter Tokyo Boulevard’s upcoming album to be the chill-out album of the year, but this one doesn’t fall far from the top spot either, even though several tracks could be rather described as electronica than chill-out. Anyway, Finnish chill-out is doing well at the moment :)

Already One year old, but still fresh concept “One” returns from the long summer break on Saturday at Tampere’s Tanssitalo. This is the first time I can’t attend One due to my happily changed family situation, but if you happen to be nearby, I strongly recommend to check out one of the coolest atmospheres and venues Tampere has seen in a while.
The lineup is short but superb: DJ Orkidea will be playing his only gig in Tampere in 2009 at One and spending full six hours behind the decks. I still remember Metaverse-tour visiting Tampere as one of the highlights of the Orkidea’s album release tour and the latest visit at One with Solarstone didn’t lack any superlatives :)

New kid on the block! Amazing and happy news. Last Saturday, 29.08.2009 my dear wife Melanie gave birth to a healthy and small baby boy, our first one. The first days together have been really, really unforgettable and magical – they don’t say in vain that getting a baby changes everything.
We haven’t decided a name yet, but Armin van Wendland is not in the top of the list (thanks for the suggestions, anyway… ;) and despite the subject, we try to avoid Jordan, Jon, Joe, Donnie and Danny, too.
Big thanks to everyone sending your congratulations and greetings. These are the happiest days of our life :)

My brother J.Shore made some amazing and hard work here with recording live strings + winds for the first track “Your Highness” and the second, “Deep Blue”. All the tracks were made during June 2009 in Tampere and finalized in Germany one month later.

Happy news. The legendary trance label, Lost Language, has signed my second single Brotherhood.
I’m really excited of the possibility of getting Brotherhood released on that particular label. It’s one of my all-time favourite trance labels which released amazing tunes already in the early 2000. The label was originally a parent label of Hooj Choons and led by Ben Lost, but it works independently today.
DJ Orion & J.Shore – Brotherhood will be out in November 2009 on Lost Language including remixes from Ayleon, Flight & Jontey, DJ Taucher and Anton Sonin. Listen to the clips and read more.
Interesting thoughts about compilation making from Dave Seaman:
“So, after several painstaking weeks, the endurance test that was the making of my new mix CD is finally over. Yes, my 26th compilation, Renaissance Masters Series Volume 14 is finished and due for release on September 28th but to be honest, I think it may well be my last. It’s such a time consuming process these days, dogged by licensing issues and digital rights restrictions, not to mention the fact that trying to make an album four months in advance that still feels ‘new’ when it’s released is increasingly difficult. Consequently, the allure of just doing regular free podcasts grows ever more appealing. But we shall see. For now, I’m just enjoying the fact that this one is done. I hope you enjoy it too.”
