I used the past weekend browsing through Orkidea’s flyer collection. I managed to scan a bit less than half of them, nearly 500 images, of which 300 are now online. Pretty NoLife(tm) project, but lots of fun.

Hallmark was great, big thanks to Joonas, Lauri & co. for an invitation. Due to “Palms” theme and very nice summer weather, it felt more than appropriate to play more moody progressive house instead of trance.

The past days there has been some serious design work for the full upgrade of this website. Some of the current tasks include Flickr and YouTube intergration, some RSS-based content management and – finally – moving from Movable Type to WordPress.
Also, this website still has parts which are way over five years old. The structure includes tables, iframes and other not too modern web design stuff. Looking forward to a fully CSS-based layout.
But after all this tech talk, I’d like to hear if there’s anything what the current pages lack, any functionalities which should be added or something which simply doesn’t work at the moment. The better page we can make to serve your needs, the merrier :) Leave a comment or send some mail.

After a very long time I came up with a flyer which made me look twice. This digital copy looks a bit lame, but a paper version really rocks. No glossy paper, no spot colours or fancy fonts. Just a cool idea and very good looking graphics. Definitely the flyer of the month. I’m happy people still make stuff like this.

The first part is mostly moody, chilly, atmospheric progressive house. The second part has already a bit more drive and going slowly into progressive trance for mr. West’s start.

It has already been everybody’s little secret for a while – until a big German daily newspaper reported about the city of Essen being the next stage for Love Parade.

Since the last minutes Love Parade company stuck to July 7th being the appointed day. When introducing Essen they also changed their date which is now August 25th. A police report about security requirements is still pending and could in fact stir up everything though.

Suomen Viihderavintolat on ostanut Iso Roobertinkadulla sijaitsevat Beetroot ja Rosegarden ravintolat. Ravintoloiden liiketoiminta siirtyy 1.6 Suomen Viihderavintoloille.
Toiminta jatkuu entisellään kesä- ja heinäkuun ajan.
Elokuuksi Rosegarden menee remonttiin ja avataan syyskuussa uudella nimellä ja klubikonseptilla.
1.6 lukien häviää Rosegarden nimi kokonaan ko.tilasta.
Otamme väliaikaisesti käyttöömme ravintolan alkuperäisen rekisterinimen, O’neills.
Beetrootiin ei tule muutoksia ja se jatkuu entisellään.Ravintolanjohtajana aloittaa Kadri Hautamäki ja ohjelmapäällikkönä Taru Kokkonen, joka vastaa myös koko yritysketjun ohjelmasta.
