It’s happening!
In early 2011 we made an unofficial remix of London Elektricity’s hit “Just One Second”.In April, Chris Coco supported it on his radio show and a bit later London Elektricity himself gave his approval for the remix. Now, after tons of licensing related emails and great work from our label Silk (thanks Gorm, Jacob and Max!) we finally are signing the contracts with Hospital Records and making it possible to release “Just One Second (Orion & J.Shore remix)” on our debut album, coming out in late 2011.

Trancen supertähti Ferry Corsten Colors-klubille
Syyskuisen, Helsingin The Circuksessa järjestettävän Colors -klubin pääesiintyjänä nähdään saksalais-hollantilainen trancen supertähti Ferry Corsten. Corsten on yksi trance -genren tunnetuimmista ja pisimmän uran luoneista artisteista. Hän aloitti uransa 1991 tuottamalla hardcore-kappaleita, mutta siirtyi varsin nopeasti trancen pariin. 1990 -luvun loppuun mennessä hän oli noussut yhdeksi mailman suosituimmista trance-DJ:stä. Hänen suurin hittinsä on vuonna 2001 System F -nimellä julkaistu “Out of the Blue”. Hänet tunnetaan myös Tsunami Recordin ja Flashover Recordsin johtotehtävistä. Corsten on myös yksi maailman tuottelijaimmista trance -artisteista. Hän on julkaissut seitsemän albumia, ja lukemattoman määrän menestyssinglejä eri aliaksilla kuten Ferr, System F, The Tellurians, Vimana ja Goyruella. Hän on myös työskennellyt useiden hyvin tunnettujen vokalistien kanssa, näistä nimekkäimpinä Marc Almond ja Robert Smith.
Corstenin lisäksi tapahtumassa nähdään vaikuttava lista kotimaisia elektronisen musiikin huippuja. Lavalla nousevat Alex Kunnari, Proteus, Orion, Heikki L, K-System, Lovetone, Tom Fall, Ali Darian, Johnny Wilde ja Käpä.

This weekend sees most likely the biggest club event of the year in Vaasa and its surroundings. Fantasia, held now for the second time, lands to Tropiclandia, Vaasa’s indoor spa with a massive lineup of 17 DJs and live acts and 3 separate stages.
Last year some 600-700 people showed up, but now it seems the word of 2010 event’s amazing vibe has done its thing and this year’s Fantasia will be sold out to its full capacity, 1200 people.
While choosing your bikinis, speedos or Borat-style trousers, it’s good to warm up by checking some photos from last year or even some video footage shot at the event. Here’s my tracklist from last year’s partiee, too.
I’ll be playing the second last set at the main stage, after the almighty K-System who has promised to try (literally) some stagediving and before Syna who will be finishing the night. I’m really looking forward to give the first plays to a couple of brand new re-edits as well as Michael Cassette’s remix of Orion & J.Shore’s The Night After.

This weekend sees the most hectic schedule of the summer of 2011.
Friday: “9 – The Opening” @ Esplanadi, Helsinki
On Friday I’ll take a flight from Berlin to Helsinki to join the private event “9 – The Opening”. UU guys (which you might remember from last year’s UU Island) will be constructing a 400m2 venue on Esplanadi with Open Bar (drinks by Tuukka Ahonen & co.), some 4 hour lounge/house/electronica vibes from me and other surprises. It’s a semi private event, but if you can get an invitation to the Facebook event somewhere, it means you’re in. I still have 10 invitations left – if you want one, mail me your email address (it has to be the same you use for logging to Facebook) and I’ll mail you the invitation. The invitation includes avec.
Friday: Summer Heat, Vanhan YO-talon terassi, Helsinki
Right after UU closes its doors, I’ll head to Vanha. Summer Heat has gained lots of support this summer and is definitely one of the nicest weekly terrace events in Helsinki to check out. It’s not lounging but some seriously fun house music biznezz, grab your dance shoes and join the Gude Laune. I’ll be starting at 01:00. Check the Facebook event for more details.

XmiX: Sasha (UK)
If you can’t make it to the events, make sure to tune in to YleX at 23:00 for a weekly musical journey of XmiX. Sasha – the headliner of Love event in Circus on 23.7. – will be delivering a one hour crazycool XmiX and telling some news (for example about Involver 3) on the interview. In case you can’t check it live, you can always listen to it on Yle Areena on-demand one week after the broadcast.
Saturday: Tampere Rave City
After some 7 hours of DJing on Friday, I’ll take the train to the middle of Tampere-fiilis on this year’s Tammerfest craziness. This time the rave spirit takes over Pyynikin palloiluhalli with danish Funkstar DeLuxe headlining and Finnish Alex Kunnari, Joonas Hahmo, Tremont and me doing the warmup. Sunday?! I have this image before my eyes of sitting totally wrecked on the flight back to Berlin. It seems I have lots to catch up to gain the normal Berlin clubbing endurance.
This Saturday sees my last gig in Finland before moving to Berlin for two years. Yes, it won’t be long before coming back again, actually there are quite a few gigs already confirmed for the end of the summer and the autumn, but I can’t help thinking this as some sort of a farewell party.
And what would be more summery and better place to play the last beats as Finnish resident than the best outdoor summer club in town, Mixxed. Bio Rex terrace combined with music enthusiasts and 100% party people just can’t go wrong. I’ve witnessed the full-on party there when it’s been storming like crazy – and Mixxed is a great example you can really have a perfect summer club concept even though “Finnish summer” isn’t always weather-wise what we’d love to have :)
