Helmikuu päätetään YleX:llä ison luokan tanssimusiikin tunnelmissa. XmiXissä vieraana housemusiikin superstara ja Waterland Festivalin perjantai-illan pääesiintyjä Mark Knight. Mark Knight muistetaan erityisesti Underworldin kanssa tehdyistä raidoista Downpipe ja Ten, Man With The Red Face -houseklassikon tuomisesta uudelle vuosituhannelle sekä remiksistä Florence & The Machinen raidasta You’ve Got The Love. Haastattelussa kuullaan Markin tunnelmia Suomesta ja yhteistyökuvioista Underworldin kanssa ja XmiX esittelee tunnin verran Mark Knightin trademark-soundia, jota Waterlandissäkin tullaan kuulemaan. Lähetyksessä laitetaan jakoon myös kaksi lippua Waterlandin perjantai-iltaan.

DJ Orionin ensimmäisellä tunnilla soitossa mm. Michael Cassette, Ben Gold, Joonas Hahmo, Kajis, Temper2, Tom Fall, Todd Terje ja Filterheadz.

Good-vibe -fiiliksiä ja uusia studiotuulia sisältävä miksaus liikkuu suvereenisti KLF:stä Prydaan ja kaksikon omiin biiseihin. YleX:n ystävänpäivän ilta ei tarjoile hermoystävällisiä rytmejä. DJ Orionin ensimmäisellä tunnilla tarjolla uutta rytmimusiikkia mm. kotimaisilta Alora&Seniiltä, Winkeeltä, JPS:ltä, Tommy Bayneltä ja L.A.O.Silta. Lisäksi kurkistetaan Todd Terjen uuden albumin tarjontaan. fiilistellään vanhaa Scooteria ja sukelletaan tuoreen varastoteknon syvyyksiin.

XmiXissä kuullaan brittiläisen, rankemmalle hard dance- ja freeform-osastolle keskittyvän Ephexis-kokoonpanon XmiX. Ephexis saapuu Suomeen tähdittämään FINRG-kollektiivin 12-vuotisjuhlia 21.2. XmiXissä kuullaan ainoastaan Ephexisin omaa materiaalia ja haastattelussa kaksikon toinen puolisko pureutuu hardimman tyylisuunnan nykytilaan ja luonnollisesti myös omiin suomimuistoihinsa.

YleX:n perjantai-ilta käy käsiksi helmikuuhun suomalaisin voimin. DJ Orionin ensimmäisellä tunnilla esittelyssä koko kattaus tuoreinta kotimaista konemusiikkia mm. Mufflerilta, Rico Tubbsilta, Jason Seizuresilta, Something Goodin toiselta puoliskolta Yottolta, Maison & Dragenilta, Ayleonilta ja Winkeeltä.

XmiXin ottaa haltuun suomalainen drum’n’bass-nelikko L.A.O.S. Tämän päivän tiukimmista junkkaraidoista aina oldskool-tunnelmiin rymistelevä miksaus esittelee upeasti rikkobiitin nykytilan ja haastattelussa kuullaan mikä on kokoonpanon tulevaisuus, kun osa L.A.O.S.ia on karannut asumaan toiselle puolelle maapalloa.

Jaossa myös lippuja Headhunterzin keikalle Circukseen 15.2.2014.

Funky statistics – vuosi 2013 tällä saitilla

* Sivustoa luettiin n. 97.000 kertaa.

* Suosituimmaksi postaukseksi nousi Berliinistä käsin tehty kirpaiseva Suomi-skene -analyysi heti vuoden 2013 alkuun.

* Luetuimmasta XmiX-ennakkopostauksesta vastasi J7 (kakkossijan jakoivat Substanced ja Matti Airaksinen), vuoden ladatuin miksaus puolestaan oli FADE 2013, hyvänä kakkosena 1,5h Berliinin discovibaa.

* Tsekatuin biisilista oli YleXPopin yhteydessä heitetyltä Miamin keikalta ja kiinnostusta herätti myös livestream Berliinistä vuosittaiseen DJ-kokoontumiseen sekä Teoston ja Gramexin lisenssiuudistus.
