Live Series #12, part #1/3
First 45min of the warmup slot (22:00-00:45) at Orkidea & Friends, Börs, Turku. Some 1800 people joined the fun, incredible vibe all along. The first part is slightly on a progressive trance tip, deep, groovy, early evening sound. This was also the first gig to use Roland’s brand new TB-3 as part of the DJ/Live setup.

YleX:n huhtikuun perjantai-illat laitetaan liikkeelle isojen julkistusten voimin. Tapaninpäivän seitsemän tunnin maratonlähetyksen jälkeen on kyselty kovasti uuden erikoispitkän lähetyksen perään. Nyt perjantaina julistetaan tiedot tulevan maratonin päivämäärästä ja yksityiskohdista. Ensimmäisellä tunnilla kahlataan lisäksi läpi musiikkia tuoreesta Angry Manin psykesoundista kotimaiseen Deck Jaggerin tuotantoon, viime viikonlopun Berliini-teknoiluihin ja viimeisimpien tyttöhouseraitojen pariin.
XmiXissä kuullaan takaisin Suomen kamaralle palaneen Daruden XmiX. Haastattelussa tunnelmoidaan jenkkilän EDM-skeneä, remix-duunia Robinille samoin kuin mahdollista kulttuurishokkia Suomeen palaamisesta ja itse XmiX on erittäin spesiaali livenauhoite miehen keikalta Seattlesta.

YleX:n perjantai-illan kaksi viimeistä tuntia lähetetään pitkästä aikaa livenä Berliinistä. DJ Orion rantautuu Schönebergissä sijaitsevan Deutschlandradio Kulturin eli Saksan kulttuuriradion lähetysstudioon ja syytää kahden tunnin verran teknomusiikin korkeakulttuuria Suomen radioaalloille. Ensimmäisellä tunnilla soitossa mm. Armand van Helden, Eric Prydz, Jaytech, Maison&Dragen, Fred V & Grafix sekä ripaus ysäriteknoa.
Toisen tunnin ottaa haltuun Helsingin Tivoliin ensi perjantaina 4.4. saapuva Pleasurekraft. Ruotsalais-yhdysvaltalainen kaksikko on tech-housen tämän hetken puhutuimpia nimiä ja eksklusiivinen XmiX liikkuu Berliini-lähetykselle sopivaan tapaan deep housen, tech-housen ja teknon maastoissa.

“Hyvän vastaanoton saanut BEATSKILL-koulutustapahtumien sarja jatkuu pääsiäisviikolla Seinäjoella. Tällä kertaa sukelletaan etenkin DJ-työn saloihin, ja kouluttajana on YleX:n perjantai-illoista parhaiten tunnettu pitkän linjan klubikulttuurivaikuttaja DJ ORION. Tapahtuma on ilmainen ja ikärajaton.
► DJ Orionin Beatskill-sessiossa käydään kiinni kahteen pääteemaan: digitaaliseen DJ-soittamiseen ja artistimarkkinointiin. Orion esittelee oman Traktor-setuppinsa, joka ainakin Suomen mittakaavassa vaikuttaa olevan uniikki keikkatyökalu ja on luvannut Beatskill-osallistujille mahdollisuuden myös testata eri kontrollerien toimintaa.
► Toinen pääteemoista, artistimarkkinointi, keskittyy antamaan nuorille ja kokeneemmillekin artisteille työkaluja toimia mahdollisimman tehokkaasti sosiaalisessa mediassa ja tuoda omaa artistiprofiiliaan mahdollisimman tehokkaasti esille.
