[English below] Oon sanonut tän moneen otteeseen ja tää viikonloppu todisti sen jälleen oikeaksi: useimmiten 100-200 ihmisen kekkerit pieksee tunnelmaltaan mennen tullen 1000+ ihmisen massatapahtumat. 💪 La-su yönä tarjoutui mahdollisuus soittaa yhdessä tällaisista ja vieläpä omassa lemppari-Helsinki-UG -lokaatiossa. Tupa täysi, himmee meno, ja kävipä vielä niin että mua seuranneella liveartistilla oli teknisiä haasteita, jolloin oma setti venähti 20min pitkäksi. 💥 Oon mielissäni että tää tuli talteen – tää on just sitä soundia jonka soittamisesta nautin tällä hetkellä eniten – pieni kasa omia tän hetken suosikkeja ja muutama klassikkokin värittämässä. I’ve said it many times and it got proved correct once again: the atmosphere/vibe/stimmung/whateveryoucallit at 100-200 people events is often waaaay better than at 1000+ people events. 💪 Last Saturday I was offered a possibility to play at one of my favorite underground locations in Helsinki – exactly one of those 100-200 capacity venues. Full house, amazing energy and it happened that the next live act had some technical problems which extended my set by 20min. 💥 I’m sincerely happy this got recorded – this is exactly the sound I currently enjoy the most, a set full of my current favorites + a couple of classics. Now on its seventh release, LBRT007 shines a light on Finnish producer and radio host Orion with a two-track remix package.
Heading up his Absence of Facts imprint, Orion is a multi-faceted artist who balances his time producing, DJing and promoting his own events in Helsinki. A well-known face on the Finnish electronic music circuit, Orion has previously collaborated with Cari Lekebusch on Absence of Facts and H-Productions, as well as solo productions on RDV Music and Different is Different Records. With a sound that touches on dark and trippy techno, Orion brings a twist to Honorio’s tracks.
‘Dying of The Light (Orion Remix)’ opens the release with a menacing lead. A stripped-back track with a rumbling low-end, it’s a prowling mutation of the original, showing Orion’s capability to change up Honorio’s version into something more shadowy. Orion’s second remix in the release ‘Muddy Waters (Orion Remix)’ couldn’t hold a more appropriate title. Blending a bleep-heavy melody with subtle hi-hats, both of Orion’s remixes on Liberta Records illustrate his robust sound to a tee.
